There are stories to be told, but we hardly know each other.  There are humble keep-it-real beginnings.  NYU intensive film program short films.  Spiral Films’ days of directing, producing, shooting, and editing work on budgets that look like the check from brunch.  And yes, brandon was at Propaganda just as the “Space For Lease” signs were going up.  He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Merge@Crossroads before opening BOOM. We’ve all heard the urban legend of brandon’s Jazz Fest spot for kaboom productions becoming one of the top ten most awarded commercials of 2001—from the Gold Lion at Cannes International Advertising Festival, to England’s’ D&AD and the AICP Award in the States.  These are facts. It is pure fiction, however, that brandon tattooed  “Top Five Hottest New Directors” across his chest when he made that list published by Boards Magazine.

With a passport that looks like the popular girl’s yearbook—brandon has captured images around the globe from the Czech Republic, Italy, Belgium, India, China, Egypt, Lebanon, Ireland, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, the British Isles and ever exotic Waco, TX.

Brandon has shot over 50 videos, from one-man-crew indie bands to VH1 Top Ten gloss. He loves them all. So much so that he asked them to move under the same roof as his commercial work—all the better to maximize resources and share the love.  With artists as diverse as Switchfoot, Dishwalla, and Sixpence None the Richer alongside Thousand Foot Crutch, Delirious, Jeremy Camp, Jump 5, Play, Steven Curtis Chapman and Kenny Wayne Shepard, brandon enjoys diving into a variety of music and dodging traditional genre stamps.  A good video is a good video—whether it’s Pop, Sparkle, or Crunch.

Is brandon a great filmmaker or a hack? Is he a darn nice guy or another Hollywood jackass? Spend a moment with brandon’s work and take him for a coffee at Alcove bakery, then decide for yourself.  You have enough people telling you how to feel about the world and it’s directors already.
